The RAMS (Research Administration Management System) is the official electronic system for the management of activities provided the Office of Research and Innovation and is broken down into several modules:

- ACUP: Animal Care and Use Program
- ECO: Export Compliance Office
- FORCE: Core Laboratory reservation
- IRB: Institutional Review Board
- SPOT: Sponsored Programs Online Tracking

Core Laboratory reservation and billing system used throughout the research enterprise for charge back of facilities and research related supplies
RAMS-IRB
Submission and management of all IRB protocols at VCU
RAMS-SPOT
Submission and management system for all research related grants, contracts and awards at VCU
RAMS-REPORT
Contains predefined reports from each of the RAMS modules.
